<li>We will use engineered E. coli to produce IAA. Through genetic engineering technology, we introduced the genes of the key enzymes of IAA production in plants into E. coli, so that it can produce IAA. We then mixed this engineered E. coli with ungerminated seeds. In theory, E. coli is able to grow in the soil while releasing IAA, thus promoting seed germination and growth.</li>
<li>Our iGEM team plans to use E. coli to produce indole acetic acid (IAA), a natural hormone widely used by plants. We hope that this bioengineered solution can enhance seed growth and development for further application in environmental soil and water conservation and agricultural production."</li>
