"text":"Our Estonia_TUIT team took part in a postcard collaboration for the 6th year in a row, which was organized by the Dusseldorf iGEM team from Germany. The goal in this collaboration was to create a postcard that contained a short project abstract in a thematic design. We designed a space-related postcard with our radiation-resistant yeast cells.",
"text":"This August the Estonia_TUIT team participated in a collaboration launched by the iGEM Meta Thess team from Greece. Every team participating in collaboration had to record a 1-minute video about their iGEM project, and later videos from different iGEM teams all over the world were collected and united in one. The rules were to make the video in front of a characteristic monument of the city where the team is located. For this reason, we presented our project near the main building of the University of Tartu and 'The Kissing Students' sculpture and fountain - two of the most recognised symbols of Tartu. In the video, we shortly introduced our Space Yeast project and sent greetings to other teams in Estonian! These videos help to promote the contribution that iGEM teams are making to solve world problems.",
"text":"We have filmed a short video about lab safety for a collaboration organized by Indian iGEM team IISER_Mohali. In our video we introduced the common safety rules and informed about prohibitions such as restrictions on eating and drinking in the lab, the necessity of wearing protective clothes and cleaning up after yourself. Furthermore, the purpose of our video was to emphasize that lab safety rules are obligatory, they are not dependent on the worker’s mood and preferences and that not following these rules can cost one not only the success of experiments but also ones well-being.",
