Tarn Parker

Ms. Parker is the Principal Investigator (PI) and founder of the KCIS IGEM team. She oversees content review, editing, and manages the team's progress.

Hui-Ching Kuo

Ms.Ching, the founder and instructor of KCIS IGEM, handles laboratory training and supervision, as well as content review and editing.

Team Members

Melody Lo

As the KCIS IGEM project head, Melody developed interview questions, set up virtual meetings with experts, supervised all teams, and conducted surveys. She also led educational workshops.

Annabel Yang

As the Wiki leader, Annabel designed and coded several wiki pages, directed the promotional video, and crafted the flexibility machine.

Amanda Wang

Amanda, the leader of the KCIS IGEM project, structured interview questions, coordinated virtual expert sessions, conducted surveys, supervised all teams, and led educational workshops.

Michael Huang

A member of the wiki team, Michael manages directories and built the engineering part of the flexibility machine. He also works with Matlab for bio-simulations.

AHope, from the wet lab team, designed experiments, conducted the PCR proof of concept, contributed to engineering methods, and analyzed the final outcomes.

Jenny Kuo

As a member of the wet lab team, Jenny designed and performed the experiments, she helped to record the notebook and experiment protocols. At the same time contribute to wiki proof of concept, organized documents, and pictures.

Laura Lai

Laura, as the leader of human practices, engaged with other IGEM teams, organized most of the virtual meetings, led the international postcard exchange, translated and made the picture book, hosted the SDG education workshop with KC library, managed instagram page, wrote the collaboration document with other teams, and several educational initiatives for middle school and high school.

Nicole Liao

Nicole, another wet lab contributor, conducted experiments, documented protocols, and managed the wiki description page. Additionally, she organized an SDG education workshop with the KC library.

Laura Lai

Yaya Hsu

Yaya, an art team member, designed visuals for various mediums, including the promotional video's animation, animation for HP educational video, animation on KCIS Xiugang instagram page, diagrams for the experiment, Linkou conference poster, and created the matching for flexibility test for the Modified Scoby.

Jessie Chuang

A member of the art team, Jessie produced visuals for posters, picture books, presentations, and social media. She crafted a comic on the leather industry's potential issues and designed the KCIS IGEM postcards, leading the postcard exchange event. Additionally, she co-hosted the SDG education workshop with KC library.

Terry Chang

From the wet lab team, Terry proposed the theme of the project, conducted and documented experiments, appeared in the promotional video, hosted virtual meetings with other iGEM teams, and took part in the SDGs education workshop with the KC Library. On the wiki, Terry worked on the experiments page.

Vicky Chien

Vicky, part of the wet lab team, documented experiments, parts, and engineering. She is the leading host of the SDGs education workshop and displays in collaboration with the KC library. She also took part in the shear strength flexibility experiments.

Iris Lin

A wiki team member, Iris Lin addressed directory issues and coded wiki pages.
