 <p>This made it very difficult to find a time that best suited both sides of the team, as UHAS we were completing our semester and final exams during the period of the iGEM competition whiles UoE was on vacation (Table 3). The main way around this is to ensure better planning starting in March, and in hindsight, we underestimated the time commitment to iGEM, so it’s important that any future teams really consider the differences in availabilities due to the academic year structures around the world. </p>
